Underneath the layers of the years lies a pure place where no hurt exists.

About this Event

Within each of us is a shining, beautiful core that is joyful and bright, lacking judgement and full of love. We are born naked and vulnerable, full of need with open arms and hearts. Our first experiences with love can influence how we interact with others throughout our lives.

Our sense of self-worth and value is deeply tied to love. As we grow, we crave love in different ways and for different reasons. Frequently, we look outside ourselves for love and forget to connect with that love from within.

That's why this class will discuss the Fourth Chakra, which encompasses the heart area and is connected with warmth, compassion and joy. Physical symptoms include chest pain/tightness, lung and heart diseases, thymus gland issues and upper back pain. Imbalances in the Heart Chakra can manifest as:

  • Fear of intimate relationships

  • Reflexive, self-protective reactions to conflict

  • Depleting personal energy for the sake of others

  • Self-defeating patterns of behavior in relationships

  • Grief

  • Feeling isolated and avoiding social situations

  • Lack of empathy

  • Porous personal boundaries

  • Longing for what might have been

Clare Gardner Nieto, Spot's herbalist and flower essence specialist, will lead you through tools and exercises to help you connect with the deeply nourishing love that comes from within. She will also talk about herbal remedies and flower essences that help to rebalance the heart and lungs and soothe your inner child. This Learning Bar class is designed to help you be gentler and kinder to yourself.

This is the fourth in a series of classes focusing on rebalancing energy and health through the Chakra system. Although the classes build on each other, you may choose to attend one or all. No prior classes required. Keep an eye out for the Fifth Chakra class coming up this spring, which will focus on releasing the voice and finding freedom in speaking your truth.
